Have you client divide his or her life into four quarters (e.g. if current age is 60, then quarter 1 = 0-15 years; quarter 2 = 15-30 years; quarter 3 = 30-45 years; and quarter 4 = 45-60 years). Then ask your client to review their loss inventory from Session 1. Assign the various losses to their respective quarters. Then rank each loss as "medium," "large," or "extra large." You client can select only one loss as being "2X." When you meet next, ask your client to share the reasons for the assigned rankings.
